Skandgiri located about 70 km from Bangalore, and situated 3 km from Chikballapur village is a perfect destination for one day outing and a scenic weekend getaway that also serves as an adventure weekend getaway which is famous for night trekking. Trekkers begin the climb by 2am on full moon nights and reach the height to witness the sunrise. Skandagiri is legendary for “walking on top of the clouds”. This is due to magnificent views above Skandagiri hill during the dawn especially during the months of November to February which is also the best time to visit skandgiri. There is a small temple atop Skandagiri.
