Wait for the biggest Hindu pilgrimage festival is over. Kumbh Mela or the Purna(complete) Kumbh that take place every twelve years is to be celebrated from 27th January to 25th February 2013 in Allahabad
Kumbh mela is celebrated at four major destinations of the country, depending upon the planet Jupiter and sun. Mainly Haridwar where the ardh(half) Kumbh is celebrated which comes after every 6year and the other place that are Ujjain, Nasik and Allahabad where the Purna Kumbh is taking place which is held after 12 years.
In 2001 when the last Kumbh Mela was held in Haridwar,recorded the biggest religious and human
gathering event of the year. And this year as it is purnaKhumb Allahabad is expected to break this record of biggest human gathering as well.
Where ever you move you will discover the sight of million of people traveliing across the globe to take a
holy bath or the Sadhu, and the nagas baba’s marching towards Sangam to take holy dip . A holy bath during this period is considered to be the best for anyone and making him or her free from all the past sins.
The Maha Kumbh Mela to be held in Allahabad in the year 2013 will begin from 27th of January and will continue till 25th of February.

27th January (Sunday) – Paush Purnima
6th February (Wednesday) – Ekadashi Snan
10th February (Sunday) – Mauni Amavasya Snan (Main Bathing Day)
15th February (Friday) – Basant Panchami Snan
17th February (Sunday) – Rath Saptami Snan
18th February (Monday) – Bhisma Ashtami Snan
25th February (Monday) – Maghi Purnima Snan
